US Indicts Sandra Good Over ‘Death List’ Threats

SACRAMENTO, Dec. 22 – Sandra Good, roommate of Lynette Fromme and an original follower of Charles Manson, was indicted today for conspiracy to mail threatening letters in connection with her so-called “death list” of environmental polluters.

Miss Good, 31, was taken into custody by FBI agents at her small apartment at 1725 P St. at about 12:30 p.m.

Arrested at the same time on a similar charge was Susan Katherine Murphy, another Manson cultist. A FBI spokesman confirmed that the indictments against the two stemmed from the “death list” released last month.

Her wrists handcuffed in front of her, Miss Good stared impassively at reporters before she was driven away by. At one point she rolled down the car window and said, “What about Nixon and his friends and their conspiracy?”

Miss Good, who joined the Manson cult in 1968 and has remained loyal to the convicted mastermind of the Tate-LaBianca murders ever since, released the “death list” during Miss Fromme’s trial for the attempted assassination of President Ford.

The list contained the names of more than 70 corporate officers and their wives from throughout the country who Miss Good said were marked for death for polluting the earth.

At the time Miss Good said the “International People’s Court of Retribution” had singled them out for assassination.

Several persons named on the list later reported that they had received threatening letters and telephone calls.

Miss Good presented the list to the news media following Miss Fromme’s arraignment.

At her arraignment, Miss Fromme made a bizarre plea to save the environment. “We want to save the redwood trees. Cutting them down is like cutting off our arms and legs,” she said at the time.

Miss Fromme, 27, was sentenced to life in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas J. MacBride last week.

She currently is being held at a federal facility in San Diego.

During Miss Fromme’s trial Miss Good made repeated, broad threats, at times singling out members of the news media.

Following Miss Fromme’s conviction, Miss Good told reporters, “Now you’ve judged yourselves. Los Angeles will burn to the ground. Your children will kill you.”
