Aug. 3 – A Fort Collins High School graduate died July 27 at Topanga, Calif.

Gary Allen Hinman, 34, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hinman of 1311 South College Avenue, will be buried Tuesday following the funeral at Glenwood Springs.

He was born Dec. 24, 1943 at Denver. He attended St. Joseph’s School prior to Fort Collins High School. He was graduated from Colorado University with a chemistry degree.

Hinman later worked for a chemical laboratory at the University of California at Los Angeles, and at a hospital research laboratory in Los Angeles.

He and Gloria Rock of Denver were married in 1960. He then earned a master’s degree in political science at UCLA. He operated a book store and taught piano, accordion and violin lessons.

Hinman recently became a member of the Buddhist bagpipe and drum corps in Los Angeles.

Other survivors include two sisters — Miss Barbara Hinman of New York City and Mrs. Carole Romberg of Broomfield.
