Manson Girls Booked on Suspicion of Prostitution
Thursday, November 4th, 1971
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 – Two Manson family girls were booked on suspicion of soliciting for prostitution after allegedly propositioning two vice squad police officers. The two undercover officers were approached in their car in the Hollywood area by Susan P. Bartell and Marie Alonzo, both 20, police said. The girls, each bearing the “X” mark Manson followers scratch on their foreheads, asked the officers for a ride and told them they were “hustling.” They were arrested after the four arrived at a Sunset Blvd. motel and agreed on a price, police said. The girls are in custody at Sybil Brand Institute for Women.
