Manson Clan Member Gives Birth To Boy
Wednesday, January 6th, 1971
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6 – One of the young woman members of Charles Manson’s so-called “family” gave premature birth to a 4-pound baby boy Tuesday night in the jail ward of Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, authorities said.
The unnamed child was born at 6:08 p.m. to Catherine “Gypsy” Share, 28, who was only 6 ½ months pregnant, according to sheriff’s deputies.
The woman was indicted last month by a County Grand Jury on a conspiracy charge arising from her alleged gift of a LSD spiked hamburger to a prosecution witness in the Tate-LaBianca murder trial.
Both mother and son were reported in good condition.
However, deputies said the boy might be placed in an incubator because of his size.
