Eight Manson Followers Guilty of Trespass
Wednesday, February 3rd, 1971
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 – Three youths and five girls identified by police as follower of convicted murderer Charles Manson pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of trespass and loitering at the Hall of Justice but punishment was fixed at the time they have already spent in jail.
They were arrested Sept. 16 and Oct. 14 while the Manson trial was in progress at the Hall of Justice.
The guilty pleas were entered before Municipal Judge Wilbur G. Dettmar by Sandra Good, 26; Lynette (Squeaky) Fromme, 22; Ruth Ann (Ouish) Moorehouse, 18; Catherine I. Gillies, 21; Sue P. Bartell, 19; Craig C. Hammond, 21; Herbert L. Townsend, 19, and Charles A. Lovett, 19.
Miss Fromme and Miss Moorehouse, however, did not gain freedom because they are among a group of Manson’s “family” indicted on charges of sending a witness in the Tate-LaBianca trial an LSD-laced hamburger sandwich.
